Eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao is open to the possibility of a fight with undisputed junior welterweight champion Josh Taylor.

Pacquiao returns to the ring on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, as he challenges WBA welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas.

Should he overcome Ugas this weekend, Pacquiao would have no issue facing Taylor if he's presented.

In a recent interview, Pacquiao mentioned his desire to have a big fight in the UK - and Taylor would check the proper boxes for such a fight.

"I have no problem to fight anybody, as long as it is 147-pounds [at welterweight]. As long as I am still in boxing, I can fight anybody. This is why I chose Errol Spence Jr [his original opponent who withdrew injured and was replaced by Ugas], because I want to fight the best. Anytime, I can fight anybody."

Taylor will return in the month of December, when he makes a mandatory defense against Jack Catterall.

The upcoming bout could be the final ring appearance for Taylor at 140-pounds. There is a strong possibility that he'll move up to welterweight in 2022.

The unbeaten Scottish star views Pacquiao as one of his idols. He would consider it a 'dream fight' to step in the ring with him.

"How many people can say they shared a ring with their hero and beat them? Not many. He's funny, he sings, he puts on a Scottish accent, he's a people's champion, a really nice person, he gives money to feed people. He's an absolute gentleman and his fighting style is ferocious - a southpaw with fast hands who can fight like hell," Taylor said.
