Beverly Hills, CA - Michael Lodge, speaking on Ms. Mandela's behalf and for those companies involved in the Pacquiao vs Mayweather potential South African bout stated that, "At no time was there a contractual or implied business relationship or agreement between Ms. Zindzi Mandela and Mr. Duane Moody. No contracts were initiated or signed, nor were there any verbal agreements made with Mr. Moody regarding any alleged terms and financial considerations".

Mr. Lodge is President and CEO of VisionQwest Resource Group, Inc., one of the two principal companies allegedly involved in putting a proposed deal together for a 2011 Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight in South Africa. Mr. Lodge also stated, "If there were to be any contracts or agreements initiated it would have been done through one of the principle companies involved in the potential bout overall legal and financial structure, it would not have been through Ms. Mandela".

Through the offices of VisionQwest, Zindzi Mandela of South Africa, Daughter of Nelson Mandela, has been made aware of a law suit (Los Angeles Superior Court --case number SC112258) as well as allegations of a business relationship, as originally reported by media source TMZ.com (http://www.tmz.com/person/duane-moody/), brought against her by Mr Duane Moody. Ms. Mandela has not been served at this time with any court documents in South Africa on this case.

According to the TMZ.com report and the legal documents filed by Mr. Duane Moody in the Los Angeles Superior Court, he is claiming that, "Ms. Mandela approached him several months ago to broker the fight". The two companies that were allegedly working on organizing a potential South African fight between Mr. Pacquiao and Mr. Mayweather were Mohlaleng (a South African Company) and VisionQwest Resource Group, Inc. out of Glendale, CA. According to Lodge, Ms. Mandela works as a consultant to Mohlaleng but has no legal ability to make deals on behalf of Mohlaleng.

Lodge alleges that at no time did Mr. Moody approach or contact VisionQwest regarding brokering any deal or his representation as to being a fight promoter. Mr. Moody at one time did approach Mohlaleng and said that he had contacts with the Mayweather team and he offered to put them in touch with the Mayweathers. However, at no time was Mr. Moody involved in any negotiations between Mohlaleng, VisionQwest or any of the fighters and their contracted promoters. And at no time did he have a contract with either Mohlaleng or VisionQwest.

Mr. Lodge stated that, "The two companies were not named in Mr. Moody's law suit and we never had any agreements with Mr. Moody, in fact VisionQwest has never met Mr. Moody and knows nothing about him", Mr. Lodge also stated that, "if any legal agreements between any party involved with this major event then VisionQwest and Mohlaleng would have approved all legal agreements and documents with all parties. Mr. Moody did not nor does not have any agreement to broker a fight with our two companies".

According to Lodge, the negotiations and various discussions started in January 2011 with Mohlaleng and VisionQwest on a project to bring Pacquiao and Mayweather to fight in South Africa in honor of Nelson Mandela’s 93rd birthday. Both companies began discussions with Manny Pacquiao (represented by Top Rank) and Floyd Mayweather (represented by Jeff Mayweather and Al Haymon). No final agreement was reached around the financial arrangements, and all parties amicably agreed to end discussions.
