Former champion Marcos Maidana (34-5, 31KOs) is getting the royal treatment back home in Argentina. He returned home after losing a twelve round unanimous decision to WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. in their rematch last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"I have not seen the fight yet, but when I was in there I thought I was winning. I'm going to watch to see what flaws I have and why [the fight] was given to him," Maidana said. "He went out there to run. He is a gazelle. People pay to watch boxing, not [Mayweather running]."

Maidana said he hopes "to make a fight in Argentina." Right now he plans to rest with his wife and child and then he will consider his career options for 2015.
