At the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, a battle of big men saw Russian Vladimir Tereshkin kept his undefeated record intact with a 60-54 (all three judges) unanimous decision over Joseph Rabotte in a six round heavyweight bout. Rabotte (7-12, 3KO) of Myrtle Beach, was reluctant to let his hands go against the 6’6” Tereshkin(13-0-1, 7KO) who worked on his craft, switching back and forth from southpaw to orthodox stance, landing enough punches to leave Rabotte with a mouse under his left eye.

Tokyo’s Hiromitsu Miura won his professional boxing debut with a 40-36, 39-37(twice) unanimous decision over Isaac Atencio (2-3-1, 2KO) in a four round light heavyweight bout.

In an entertaining six round light welterweight bout, Colorado’s Marcos Herrera fought to a 58-56(Bey), 57-57 (twice) majority draw against Cleveland’s Cortez Bey. Herrera (5-1-1, 1KO) was generally the aggressor with Bey employing a relaxed (maybe too relaxed) counterpunching style.  Herrera’s money punch was the straight right hand, gaining momentum and sending Bey back from time to time before Bey (8-1-1, 4KO)  would stop Herrera in his tracks with nice counter left hooks and solid lefts to the body.

Super featherweight prospect Diego Magdaleno looked his sharpest in his most important fight to date, scoring a 100-90, 99-91, 97-93 unanimous decision over battle tested Manuel Perez.

Magdaleno controlled the majority of the bout with nice footwork and an excellent southpaw jab before opening up scoring three punch combinations, leaving the rugged Perez (14-6-1, 2KO) with an abrasion on the side of his right eye. Perez saved his best for the final round, catching Magdaleno with a few telling punches but the local Las Vegas resident rode the cheers of his vocal supporters to an easy win while improvinge his undefeated record to 15-0( 3KO).
