CATAÑO, P.R. - Another spectacular knockout, for rising star Alberto ‘Explosivo’ Machado, but this time in the second round against tough Mexican Yardley Suarez (15-4, 9KO’s).

Honoring is nickname ‘Explosivo’; Machado began landing bombs in the very first round hurting Suarez with powerful combinations that drop him down after a vicious left straight hand. Suarez survive the first round but the end came at 2:43 of the second round when Machado went after him and showed why once again he belongs to top elite prospects of Puerto Rico.

“I train really hard to win fights, I don’t train for the knockout but is the result of our hard work and dedication. I want to be a world champion and wont rest until we accomplish this,” said Machado who improves his record to 15-0 with 13Ko’s. 

Knockout artist Angel ‘Tito’ Acosta annihilate the tough Juan Guzman (23-5, 12KO’s) in the very first round with a powerful right hand that landed perfectly and dropped Guzman to the canvas.

“I wanted  to show more, that’s what we train for but the fight ended quick. I got him with and right uppercut that hurt him and I  just waited for the moment to land my right,” Acosta said. Angel Acosta remain undefeated and improves his record to 14 wins with 14 knockouts. 

Unbeaten and top super flyweight prospect Jose ‘Chiquiro’ Martinez improves his outstanding record to 18-0 with 11KO’s when he stopped former world champion Juan Palacios in the first round.

“I’m very happy with this win, Juan Palacios is a former world champion and I knew if I had the chance to finish him I was going after it and that’s what happened. Now I will come back to the gym and continue training and will await for the company to give me my next opportunity,” said Martinez.

Super flyweight prospect Carlos Narvaez remain unbeaten and improves his record to 15-0 with 6 knockouts after a one sided 8 round decision over tough Juan ‘Cowi’ Herrera. 

In other results Miguel Cotto Promotions newest talent super flyweight Juan Carlos Camacho Jr. (1-0, 1KO) turned pro and had his first career win when he stopped Christian Santos in round one. Emanuel ‘Pinky’ Colon improves his record to 12-0-1, 11KO’s after stopping contender Hector Marengo, Derrieck Cuevas (8-0-1, 6KO’s) had a second round KO win over José Valderrama. And Hector 'Pipa' Marrero (1-0, 1KO) had his first career win over Nelson Torres stopping him in round 1.
