Leeds - Lyon Woodstock (10-0, 5 KOs) picked up the WBO European title after a hard fought explosive Unanimous Decision victory over Craig Poxton (13-5).

The clash between Lyon Woodstock and Craig Poxton became an explosive affair from the off set.

The contest, which showcased the Midlands Area Champion take on the Southern Area Champion, saw Poxton cut badly in the second round as the pair refused to take a backward step early on.

Woodstock began to stamp his authority on the contest as the fight progressed, switching up styles and landing the cleaner shots. Poxton continued to press however, showing why he is Central Area Champion.

The brave Poxton continued to press and had some solid success during the mid rounds. Woodstock looked to land telling power shots and counters which he did effectively.

As the fight entered the latter stages the pressure was still coming from Poxton, but it was Woodstock landing the more eye catching work.

In what was another cracker of a trade fight, the pair continued to go to war in the final round. The pair embraced as the final bell went in what was a fight that many would pay to see again.

Woodstock picked up the unanimous decision victory, as the contest was scored 98-93, 97-95, 97-93 all in favour of the brash Leicester Super Featherweight.

Earlier in the card, British Champion Tommy Langford (19-1, 6 KOs) bounced back from his first career defeat, as he laboured to a 60-53 over durable Spaniard Miguel Aguilar (11-37). Langford will look to forward to much tougher tests in the coming months.
