Former champion Luis Concepcion (27-3, 20KOs) will have to railroad his way to clash with Edar Sosa (47-7, 28KOs) in order to land a shot at the WBC flyweight champion Toshiyuki Igarashi of Japan.

Concepcion, who held the WBA world title and lost it to Tyson Marquez, began to rebuild himself in the WBC's rankings. Concepion fought four times in 2012, winning all four, and captured the WBC's Latino title in his last match.

Concepcion is now ranked by the WBC number two and has one more step, with Sosa waiting, before a title shot can be within reach.
