Hard hitting lightweight prospect Lucas Bahdi (8-0, 8 KOs) will return to the ring tonight in Mexico City when he faces Caros Lopez (9-7-1 5 KOs) in a bout scheduled for 8 rounds. In the main event Angel Aviles will take on Luis Vara.

The 26-year-old Bahdi turned pro in May and has won all 8 of his fights by knockout. In Lopez, the former amateur standout will face his first southpaw in the professional ranks.  Bahdi welcomes the challenge.

"He is a guy that likes to put on pressure and likes to exchange so it should be an interesting fight. I am going to feel him out in the first round. I will start slow and use my jab and use distance and whatever happens happens. If he wants to exchange - I am always willing to exchange with anybody. It should be a very exciting fight for as long as it lasts," Bahdi told BoxingScene.com.

Bahdi plans to keep a busy in 2020 as he already has fights scheduled for April 3rd and a homecoming fight in Niagara Falls on May 16th.

The Canadian is managed by former welterweight contender and fellow countryman Phil Lo Greco.  While obviously biased, Lo Greco believes that he has the top prospect in the sport and that his fighter will be ready for the big stage in the very near future.

"He is a humble kid but realistically he doesn't like knocking guys out - he loves knocking guys out. He is boxing's biggest prospect at the moment. In my humble opinion there are so many fighters that I could manage but I wanted him. All of the boxing promoters and managers know about him. He wants to fight the best and he is willing to put in the work to get there," Lo Greco explained.

As for Bahdi, he isn't a very big talker outside of the ring and believes in the familiar mantra that actions speak louder than words.

"At the end of the day I like to let my fighting do the talking for me. I can say what you want to hear but I'd rather show you with my fighting. I am willing to fight anybody anytime but we have a plan and we are sticking to it and whoever comes my way in the lightweight division we are ready to fight," Bahdi stated.
