Boxing fans have more to be interested in than simply the headline fight between Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo on September 30th. The anticipated event takes place at the T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas strip and will be available via Showtime pay-per-view and PPV.com.

The rest of the pay-per-view portion of the card was recently revealed and all three bouts are intriguing and look to be action-packed.

Former world champions Yordenis Ugas and Mario Barrios meet in a welterweight showdown while super welterweight contenders Jesus “Mono” Ramos (20-0) and Erickson “Hammer” Lubin (25-2) will also collide in a meaningful clash.  The card will be rounded out with rising middleweight prospects Elijah Garcia and Armando Resendiz set to face each other in a crossroads battle.

Lubin just fought in June when he stopped Luis “Cuba” Arias in five rounds to bounce back from his April 2022 stoppage loss to Sebastian Fundora.

Over the past few years, Ramos has ascended from one of the sport’s top prospects to contender status.

With that being said, Lubin’s longtime trainer Kevin Cunningham believes his fighter’s physical attributes and deep skillset will prove to be too much for the 22-year-old Arizona native.

“Making evenly matched fights is what boxing is all about. Lubin versus Ramos is a main event on a Showtime Championship Boxing card. This fight is going to be a barnburner. The perfect fight to warm the crowd up before the main event,” Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.

“Ramos is a good, strong, solid young fighter while Hammer’s the more experienced fighter in this match up. He also has more tools in his toolbox. I think Hammer’s experience, skillset and power will be the difference in the fight.”

Ramos last fought on March 25th on the David Benavidez-Caleb Plant pay-per-view undercard in Las Vegas where he stopped Joey Spencer in 7 rounds.
