Erickson "The Hammer" Lubin (20-1) returns to the ring on Saturday night when he faces France's Zakaria Attou (29-6-2) at the NRG Arena in Houston, Texas.  The fight will serve as the Showtime co-feature bout underneath the Jermall Charlo-Brandon Adams main event.

Lubin was last in action in February when he became the first fighter to stop former super welterweight champion Ishe Smith who would announce his retirement shortly after the fight.

That was Lubin's first fight under the tutelage of world-class trainer Kevin Cunningham who is based in South Florida.

Cunningham, who has trained the likes of Cory Spinks, Gervonta Davis, Adrien Broner, and several other champions over the years is expecting an even better performance from Lubin in what will be there second fight together.

If the veteran coach has his way, a fight for a world title will come shortly after the Attou clash.

“We’ve had another tremendous training camp for this fight. Hammer’s prepared to go out and give the fans another spectacular performance. Attou the French champion is a solid opponent but Hammer will have a answer for whatever he brings. After taking care of Attou we will be big name hunting," Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.
