Chicago based Turner, 11-1 (7KO’s) will battle Mexican veteran Jesus Valverde, 21-14 (16KO's) in a scheduled eight round bout. In his last bout, Turner thrilled the fans at the Sears Centre on October 13, 2007 engaging in an action packed war with former world title challenger Angel “TORO” Hernandez that ESPN’s Dan Rafael listed amongst his “Fight of the Year” candidates calling it “pure violence disguised as a legal boxing match.” The Turner/Hernandez bout took place on the undercard of the HBO televised lightweight title bout between Juan Diaz and Julio Diaz.

Speaking from his training camp in St. Louis, MO where he is working with junior middleweight world champion Cory Spinks, Turner discussed his return to the ring.

“I’m thrilled to be fighting back in Chicago. The fans loved my fight against ‘TORO’ but I could have made the fight a little easier and took the decision.

I know that Valverde is a tough Mexican fighter, but I’m well prepared and looking to put on a terrific performance on March 28th” said the 26 year old former Chicago Golden Gloves champion.

Valverde’s thirteen year pro career includes battles with world champions; Kermit Cintron and Carlos Quintana as well as notables Yuri Foreman and Teddy Reid along with The Contender’s Ahmed Kaddour and Donnie McCrary.

UNDISPUTED is headlined by a twelve round USBA/NABO/NABA light heavyweight title bout between undefeated Tallahassee, Florida native Tavoris Cloud, 17-0 (16KO’s) facing off against Mike Wood, 19-6-1 (11KO’s) of St. Louis, MO. Cloud is currently world  ranked # 5 by the IBF, #9 by the WBO and # 12 by the WBA.

In a special feature attraction Chicago based heavyweight Carl “IRON FIST” Davis will take on Rochester, New York’s Jermell Barnes in an eight round bout. Davis brings a record of 10-2 with eight knockouts into the bout with Barnes, 18-15-2 (4KO’s).

Also featured at UNDISPUTED is 22 year old newcomer Johnny “THE BULLDOG” Suarez who is scheduled in a four round bout. The Burbank, California resident carries a record of 1-0-1 (1KO).
