Louie Lynn has been ruled out of his return.

The undefeated 23-year-old has been out since last October.

Lynn, who is trained by former world title challenger Kevin Mitchell, is campaigning at featherweight and is from Banstead in Surrey.

He made his professional debut against Michael Horabin at the O2 Arena in March 2018, stopping him inside two rounds, and added three more quick finishes before his hiatus.

But now ‘Loco’ – a former GB amateur champion who also won the ABAs – has inked a three-year deal with Frank Warren.

And not long after revealing the news, the fighter had a date for his return.

Lynn was meant to come back on July 13, exclusively live on BT Sport in the UK, as part of the supporting cast to his new promoter’s ‘Heavy Duty’ card.

The bill, at the O2 Arena in London, will be topped by the eagerly anticipated showdown between Daniel Dubois and Nathan Gorman, exclusively live on BT Sport.

But Lynn will no longer be on the card due to circumstances out of his control.

“I’m absolutely gutted but there’s nothing I can do,” he said. “I’ve just got to prepare and be ready.”

Heavyweight duo Dubois and Gorman will meet in a clash for the vacant British title, with Joe Joyce also set to feature on the bill.

Joyce recently inked a co-promotional deal with Warren and is in against Bryant Jennings.

Sunny Edwards will return on the bill against Hiram Gallardo for the vacant IBF International super-flyweight title, while Liam Williams meets 32-year-old Frenchman Karim Achour for the vacant WBC Silver middleweight title and Archie Sharp’s defence of the WBO European super-featherweight title against former British title challenger Jordan McCorry.

New heavyweight signing Jonathan Palata is back in action and Dennis McCann joins Hamzah Sheeraz, Mark Chamberlain and Jake Pettitt in being on the bill.

Florian Marku and Willy Hutchinson complete the card.
