Louie Lynn made quick work of Monty Ogilvie on Saturday night in London.

England’s Lynn knocked down Scotland’s Ogilvie once apiece in the first and second rounds, and won their scheduled six-round featherweight fight by second-round technical knockout. The 24-year-old Lynn improved to 7-0 and produced his sixth knockout.

The 28-year-old Ogilvie (9-2, 1 KO) lost a second straight bout by TKO.

Lynn’s win was part of the Joe Joyce-Michael Wallisch undercard at BT Sport’s Studio.

Lynn battered Ogilvie throughout the second round, until Lynn blasted him with a right hand to the side of his head, which sent Ogilvie to the canvas again.

Ogilvie got up by the time referee Robert Williams’ count reached six, but he couldn’t stand up straight. Williams wisely waved an end to the fight at 2:01 of the second round.

Lynn landed a left hook that knocked Ogilvie off balance early in the first round. Lynn kept pressing the action in that opening round, which caused Ogilvie to hold him.

Lynn later dropped Ogilvie with a right hand. He then hit Ogilvie twice when he was down, which drew a warning from Williams, who would’ve been justified in deducting a point for those two fouls.

Ogilvie went to the canvas again just before the first round ended, but it the result of Lynn pushing him down.
