Former WBA flyweight champion Lorenzo "Lencho" Parra (31-3, 18KOs) wants to retire after a poor performance last Friday night in Panama. Parra was dominated for eight round by WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno. Parra never came out for the ninth round, and the fight was ruled a TKO win for Moreno. The boxer from Venezuela doesn't know what happened and feels that it's time to walk away.

"I have failed Venezuela, my children. I do not know what happened, my body never responded in the fight. I think it's time to announce my retirement, the end of my career. It's time to open the way for other fighters who are being born," said Parra.
