Next Saturday night at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, WBO super featherweight titlist, Vasyl Lomachenko, defends his crown against Nicholas Walters on HBO. The rest of this card (which will not be televised) has been set by Top Rank.

Brad Goodman, Top Rank matchmaker tells BoxingScene.com - "Egis Kavaliauskas is fighting Juan Ruiz, who's 17-0. You got Trevor McCumby against Donovan George and then Konstanin Ponomarev against Silverio Ortiz."

It's been a bit of a chore getting live bodies in there against the highly regarded "Mean Machine'' Kavaliauskas, who has a record of 15- 0(12 KO's).

"It's hard and stuff that he's going to start fighting ten round fights I think it's going to be a little easier," said Goodman, who believes 2017 will be a big one for Kavaliauskas. "That's our plan but that starts next week and then hopefully something bigger after that."

And for the undefeated McCumby (23-0, 18 KO's) the face-off versus George is a step-up bout.

"He's been wanting to step up and he doesn't want to keep fighting these guys who don't have any meaning to them. He's motivated for these type of fights and he's ready to go,"said Goodman.

A few other prospects will be rounding out this show.
