WBO super featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko is not confident that Jorge Linares (42-3, 27 KOs) will walk away with his WBA lightweight title when he steps in the ring with mandatory challenger Luke Campbell (17-1, 14 KOs).

The twelve round bout will headline an HBO televised card from Los Angeles’ “Fabulous” Forum on September 23.

Besides his world title, Linares is also risking his 11-fight win streak.

Lomachenko is already considering the possibility of a move in weight to 135-pounds - and Linares would be one of the biggest fights to make in that division.

But Lomachenko is not confident that Linares will get past his next bout.

Make no mistake, Linares is big favorite to win the fight. Linares is a three-division world champion, who captured titles in the featherweight, super featherweight and lightweight divisions.

Lomachenko is very familiar with Campbell. Both of them competed for their respective countries in the 2012 Olympic games in London.

Campbell won a gold medal for the UK, while Lomachenko won his second gold medal for Ukraine.

Like Lomachenko, Campbell has already tasted defeat as a pro. He was upset nearly two years ago, but since then he's put together a solid streak of wins to get his career back on track and secured the title shot at Linares.

Highly regarded as an amateur, a win over Linares would make Campbell a huge star with the UK fans - especially since Linares has already fought on British soil several times with victories over Kevin Mitchell and Anthony Crolla, twice.

Lomachenko is giving Campbell a good shot to get the upset.

“It will be interesting fight because I know this guy Campbell from Great Britain. He’s Olympic Gold Medalist. Then we have Olympic Games, 2012, I fought 60 kilos, he fought 56 kilos. Now he fight [at] 61 kilos, [and] I fought 59 kilos. He's growing very, very fast. It will be interesting fight because Campbell has good skill," Lomachenko said.
