It was formally announced earlier today that the highly anticipated 'Super Fly' card, which is headlined by the rematch between WBC 115-pound champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and challenger Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez, will take place at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

There had been an issue regarding the venue for this card because Ringstar Promotions had planned to do the rematch between featherweight Leo Santa Cruz and Abner Mares on the same night at the Staples Center.

Both Staples and StubHub are owned and operated by AEG.

But with a little intervention and cooperation, both cards will stay in Los Angeles but on different dates.

"I think this is really one of those situations where we created a win-win situation for the boxing fans," said Tom Loeffler, the managing director of K2 Promotions, which is staging the show at the StubHub Center, which will be broadcast on HBO and includes the Stateside debut of Naoya Inoue defending his WBO super flyweight belt versus Antonio Nieves and WBA titlist, Jezreel Corrales facing Robinson Castellanos.

Loeffler noted - "Dan Beckerman (the president of AEG) was able to work it out to host the Staples Center show on October 7th and we have a clear date of September 9th. Because not only were both venues in Los Angeles and boxing fans were going to have to choose between the Santa Cruz-Mares on TV or the triple-header that we're doing which wasn't a great situation."

The Santa Cruz-Mares rematch will be televised by Showtime.

Now boxing fans in Southern California will have the opportunity to attend both cards.

"So we're really grateful to Dan and everyone else that came up with this solution,"said Loeffler, who notes that tickets for his card will go on sale Friday afternoon (12 pm, PT) at  $250, $150, $100, $60 and $30.
