Heavyweight Andrey Afonin (5-0, 2 KOs) got the better of Victor Chvarkov (2-3) over eight uneventful rounds with a unanimous decision.

In a heated rematch of their mutual debut, which ended in a draw years ago, Georgy Chelokhsaev of Ossetia scored a dramatic tenth-round TKO of Evgueny Pavko (16-2-1, 11 KOs) to acquire a vacant Russian light welterweight title.

The first half of the bout was even but Pavko took its midst by rocking the Ossetian in the fifth. WBO #14 Chelokhsaev (13-1-1, 11 KOs) dug deep and surged in later rounds to dominate Pavko later on. Pavko was cut in the ninth, and his opponent smelt the blood, jumped on him and dropped hard after several blows, the last one being to the body. Pavko was up at eight but was deemed unfit to go on by referee Yuri Koptsev at 1:17 of the tenth.

Featherweight Evgueny Smirnov moved up to 11-0, 2 KOs, with a much closer-than-scored unanimous decision over rugged Filipino Jhon Ghemino (16-10-1, 7 KOs). Smirnov outboxed his opponent  but Ghemino gave him fits with his toughness and durability. Unrealistic scores were identical: 100-90 - for Smirnov.

IBO female light welterweight champion Svetlana Kulakova (13-0-1, 1 KO) barely retained her title with a close split decision versus Kenyan challenger Judy Waguthy (15-8-4, 4 KOs).
