Several days have passed after his loss to Billy Joe Saunders, and former world middleweight champion David Lemieux is already making plans to get back on the horse for yet another world title run.

When he places the fight back in his head, former world champion David Lemieux thinks he could have did different things in certain situations. He intends to review the fight with his team to properly analyze what didn't work to make the necessary corrections.

"He had a very good fight that gave me a lot of trouble doing what I wanted to do," Lemieux admitted to 98.5 FM. "He won the fight, but we're going back to the gym to work on things so that things like that do not happen again."

On the other hand, he was not happy with the attitude of the HBO broadcast analyst Max Kellerman, who did not appreciate Lemieux's response in criticizing Saunders' style.

"He often gives me trouble," said Lemieux. "I was not ready to give my version of what happened in the fight before thinking about it. After thinking about it, I wrote it (on Facebook).

"We worked hard in the gym to counter his game plan. He has a good strategy of using his feet. For me, when I get in the ring it's to give a good show. Saunders, he puts on the skates to do everything by backing up and running. "

After the fight, Lemieux revealed that he suffered a left arm injury, which came in the second round. In fact, he also revealed a left shoulder injury that predates Saturday's fight.

"It's an injury that's been around for a long time," he said. "I managed it during my training camp, but in the ring you'll hurt yourself even more. I was not comfortable throwing shots after the second round. It limited me a lot. "

According to David Lemieux, there has never been a question of postponing the confrontation.

If he had to choose a rematch between Saunders and Gennady Golovkin, Lemieux would prefer to find GGG despite the defeat by TKO in the eighth round in October 2015.

"I would not have to run after him like I did against Saunders," he said.

Lemieux intends to take a vacation before regrouping in 2018 - when he sets out to conquer a world title.

"I can not wait to prove to myself that I have the tools to beat Golovkin, Canelo (Alvarez) and Saunders," said Lemieux.
