Nottingham Arena, Nottingham - Commonwealth featherweight champion Leigh Wood (22-1, 12 KOs) dominated Ryan Doyle (17-4-1, 9 KOs) and finally knocked him out with a big left hand in the tenth round.

Doyle was coming back from a seventh round knockout loss at the hands of Jordan Gill from back in October.

Coming in to this bout, Wood is riding a ten fight win streak after suffering a 2014 TKO loss to Gavin McDonnell.

After some slow rounds, where Wood was winning by small margins, he really let his hands go in the fifth and began to punish Doyle with hard punches to the head and body.

The punishment continued in the following rounds, with Wood digging to the head and body as Doyle began to get worked over against the ropes and whenever he came in at close range.

In the tenth round, a big left hand sent Doyle crashing down. Doyle stayed down on a knee for the entire count of ten.

British amateur star Dalton Smith (1-0) made his pro debut with a four round decision over Luka Leskovic (5-28). The sole score was 40-36.

Terri Harper (7-0, 4 KOs) pulled off a sixth round stoppage over Claudia Lopez (25-10), who was cut on her forehead from an accidental clash of heads.

Atif Shafiq (21-2, 5 KOs) won a six round super featherweight contest over Arturo Lopez (5-10-3). The sole score was 60-55.

Super featherweight prospect Raymond Ford (2-0) won a four round decision over Aleksandrs Birkenbergs (4-22). The sole score was 40-36.

Super featherweight Stephen Smith (26-4, 15 KOs) returned for the first time since December 2017, and won a six round Des Newton (7-5). The sole score was 60-54.

Heavyweight prospect Fabio Wardley (7-0, 6 KOs) only needed three rounds to put away Dennis Lewandowski (13-4).
