Jupp looked to establish his jab early and work off it pressing Smith on to the back foot. Smith looked to get on the inside of Jupp by walking him down and working the body of Jupp.

Smith looked to load up too much at times but Jupp managed to land the cleaner punches earlier on. Smith began to get inside of Jupp and work the body more effectively

Jupp got back on his jab and had success off it, however Smith worked well when he got inside, arguably making it too hard for himself at times. Jupp boxed out of his skin as he landed a good percentage of punches as he boxed behind the jab.

Smith continued to load up far too much unlike Jupp who boxed smoothly off the jab through the mid rounds. Smith started to narrow the gap to an extent as he tried to pick up the pace in an attempt to nick the rounds.

Rounds five, six, seven and eight were all close. It was hard to score and really depended on what the individual judges looked for when scoring.

Jupp continued landed the cleaner punches going into the later rounds. Smith kept up the good work rate however many of his punches landed on Jupp's gloves and arms. Jupp's jab was fantastic all night as was his defends and footwork. He performed all the fundamentals of boxing to the best of his ability throughout and thoroughly deserved to win the contest via unanimous decision.

Thomas Stalker (10-1-3, 2 KOs) vs. Craig Evans (14-1-2, 3 KOs) 10 x 3 WBO European Lightweight title - Both fighters started fast loading up with big shots from the outset. Both Stalker and Evans looked to stamp their authority on the fight early with heavy combination punching.

The fight continued at the same pace with both fighters working on the inside well. Stalker looked better when he worked off the jab but Evans seemed to be landing the more effective shots despite being slightly out worked.

Stalker slightly got the better of the action in the mid rounds despite some good success from Evans making the rounds hard to call. Stalker boxed when he needed to box and began fighting when he needed to fight. Evans got his most success when he got in close and let his combinations go.

Evans appeared to get the better of the later rounds, landing more telling punches than Stalker and using his jab more effectively. The fight remained close and either round could be argued that it went either way.

The pace didn't slow into the latter stages of the fight in what was an excellent contest. Stalker showed a higher work rate however Evans arguably landed the better punches. Both fighters thought they had won at the final bell.

The fight was scored a majority draw by the judges at ringside. One judge scored the fight to Evans and two scored it a draw. A great fight!
