Lee Beard landed back in Las Vegas on Sunday with Dean Harrison, after one week at home in Manchester, England with his family. Lee had previously had 7 weeks split between Hollywood and Johannesburg with top Junior Lightweight Argenis Mendez who produced a great performance in beating experienced South African Cassius Baloyi, to set up a crack at the IBF World Title.

Beard has been working with Harrison on both sides of the Atlantic in preparation for this weekends fight against the tough Mike Alvarado at the Mandalay Bay.

Beard said "Its been a bit of a hectic schedule working in California over the Christmas period and then over to South Africa for the fight, but ultimately well worth it as Argenis Mendez produced the best performance of his career in beating a very tough opponent in Baloyi"

He continued "Training in California went really well and Argenis was joined in camp by Dean Harrison and Tim Coleman, and it was then the opportunity for the fight with Mike Alvarado came up for Dean."

Asked if Dean is ready for the dangerous Alvarado, 28 wins (20 stoppages) Beard said "Dean has been training solidly and has had top quality sparring both at the Wild Card Gym with among others, Josesito Lopez (29-3) who stopped the unbeaten Mike Dallas Jnr in his last fight and back in Manchester with Craig Watson. Dean is looking forward to the challenge of Mike Alvarado"
