On November 4th, WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev (27-2) will face Lateef Kayode (21-0) at the Basket-Hall Arena in Kazan, Russia.

BoxingScene.com recently spoke to the champion to get his thoughts on the fight and his future plans.

BoxingScene.com: How is your training camp at the Wild Card going for your upcoming fight against Lateef Kayode?

Denis Lebedev: Training has been very good. Great actually.  Everything is going by the plan and we are ready for the fight!

BoxingScene.com: Kayode is a big man who has also fought at heavyweight. What do you think of him as a fighter and what is the key to beating him?

Denis Lebedev: He is a good fighter but I will beat him.  I know how to fight him. You will see when we are in the ring.

BoxingScene.com: The last time I interviewed you, you said that you wanted a rematch with Marco Huck. Since then he has lost. What did you think of his knockout loss to Glowacki?

Denis Lebedev: I though that he underestimated Glowacki and the fight ended the way it did for a reason and that was the reason.

BoxingScene.com: With that being said now that he has been stopped do you still want to fight him in the future or would you rather look to unify titles against the Polish fighter?

Denis Lebedev: Well I'm interested in unifying titles with anybody in the cruiserweight division.  All of the champions. I'm very interested in a unification with Glowacki or any other champion.

BoxingScene.com: Roy Jones recently became a Russian citizen. You have a history with him in the ring so what do you think about the recent news of his citizenship?

Denis Lebedev: I think if he needs the Russian citizenship for some reason well then it's a good move. I support it. Why not?

BoxingScene.com: What are you looking to do after the Kayode fight?

Denis Lebedev: Unify titles. That has been my goal and that hasn't changed. The goal remains the same.

BoxingScene.com: Last question.  What can the fans expect to see out of Denis Lebedev vs Lateef Kayode?

Denis Lebedev: It should be a great fight without a doubt. It will be a great fight with two fighters both at the top of the division.  Make sure too watch!
