The mandatory purse bid for the WBA cruiserweight rematch between Guillermo Jones and Denis Lebedev has been moved up to December 9th, in Panama, by the World Boxing Association.

The will be the second time that Jones-Lebdev heads to a purse bid. The first time in 2012, Jones' promoter Don King won the rights with a winning bid of $712,000 dollars.

Lebedev (25-2, 19KOs) was the full champion when he faced Jones (39-3-2, 31KOs), the champion in recess, on May 17th in Russia. Jones battered Lebedev and stopped him in the eleventh round.

Following the fight, Jones tested positive for furosemide (a weight cutting agent). Jones was stripped of the title and it was returned to Lebedev. The WBA then ordered the two boxers to face each other for a second time.
