Transnational Boxing Rankings Board (TBRB) # 5 cruiserweight Denis Lebedev (25-2, 19 KOs) is all but set for the first defense of his now re-united WBA 200lb title against undefeated TBRB #9 Pole Pawel Kolodziej (33-0, 18 KOs). The fight will be co-feature of a major Russian-Polish collision on Sep. 27 at Dynamo Ice Palace in Moscow, Russia, under Andrey Ryabinskiy’s promotion, the main event being a bout between TBRB #3 Krzysztof Wlodarczyk and TBRB #7 Grigory Drozd.

“Denis’ chief sparring partner was Ismayl Sillakh”, informed his manager Vadim Kornilov. “He is presently in Moscow and will be a vital part of our camp during the latest session. There were also two other guys, but they haven’t played a crucial role in preparations”.

He then added, that Lebedev is fully ready for the upcoming test.

“Denis trains at the “Boxing Academy” in Luzhniki. He is being guided by conditioning guru Justin Fortune, who is also part of Manny Pacquiao’s team. Freddie Roach is coming today; he guided an entire training process in the States, and he will be in Lebedev’s corner this time, replacing Marvin Somodio, his assistant, who stayed in the States this time”.
