WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev (27-2, 20KOs) was not surprised that longtime WBO cruiserweight king Marco Huck (38-3-1, 26KOs) was knocked out Polish puncher Krzysztof Glowacki in August.

Lebdev lost a controversial twelve round split decision to Huck in 2010. A rematch never took place between the two boxers.

The fight with Glowacki was Huck's debut in America and also the boxer's first bout without his longtime promoter, Sauerland Event.

Huck broke away from Sauerland in late 2014 and sat out until his contract expired early this year. He felt the promotional powerhouse was no longer needed - Lebedev disagrees.

"In my opinion this very simple. I don't want to offend anybody from Hook's team or him personally, but he actually lost the title a long time ago. He was simply in the caring hands of Team Sauerland. They repeatedly helped him retain the title, but he did not appreciate their actions," Lebedev said.

"Apparently with all of these protections he really thought he was the best fighter out there. In general and in my opinion, he already lost the title three or four times, but Sauerland helped him retain his title. But in America, that didn't happen. Although he won many of his fights on points, he never really took a heavy punch. Apparently that was something that was going to happen sooner or later and I am very sorry that I wasn't the one to do it."

Lebedev defends his belt against Lateef Kayode on November 4th.
