According to the R-Sport media agency, WBA #1 cruiserweight Denis Lebedev (23-1, 17 KOs) defends his World Boxing Association interim title on April 4th at the Crocus City Hall, less than a mile to the west of Moscow in the local suburbs of Myakinino. Lebedev, 32, puts his title at risk against Barbadian heavy-hitter Shawn Cox (16-1, 15 KOs), who is coming off a sensational first-round blowout of the former WBC king Wayne Braithwaite less than a month ago. Cox is 37.

"The agreement has already been signed", confirmed promoter Vladimir Hryunov to R-Sport.

Rumous are circulating that on the same card, former champions will collide with local fighters. Comebacking cruiserweight Grigory Drozd (34-1, 24 KOs) may face former three-time middleweight titleholder William Joppy (40-7-2, 30 KOs) in a ten-rounder, while Sergey Rozhnov (1-0) could face 43-year old Robert Daniels (49-10-1, 41 KOs) in another interesting match-up over six rounds. Both Joppy and Daniels are very much past their prime.

BoxRec also lists WBC #2, IBF #6 and WBA #10 light heavyweight force Ismayl Sillakh (17-0, 14 KOs) as a participant of the show but, as BoxingScene has learned, his fight versus another Russian Denis Grachev (11-0-1, 7 KOs) for the Sillakh's NABF title isn't a finalized deal yet. Alexander Bakhtin (28-0, 11 KOs) may also take his part in the show.
