O2 Arena, London - Lawrence Okolie (7-0-0, 6KOs) beats Isaac Chamberlain (9-0-0, 4KOs) on points over ten rounds in a scrappy contest at London’s 02 Arena.

Rio 2016 Olympian Okolie, 25, scored two knockdowns and landed the higher volumes of punches to win a unanimous decision.

The Hackney fighter picked up the WBA Continental Cruiserweight title in the process, but perhaps more importantly, came out on top in a grudge match between two rising prospects.

The pre-fight build up saw several heated exchanges between the pair and that intensity was carried into the ring from the off as Okolie dropped Chamberlain with a straight right in the opening round.

‘Chambo’, 23, struggled to deal with Okolie's vastly superior reach and the exchanges become riddled with holding by both men.

The referee docked the Brixton man a point in the second and brought the fighters together in the fourth to warn them to stop the untidy work on the inside.

Okolie landed another crisp right hand in the sixth that forced Chamberlain to touch down for a second time as the 'Sauce' continued to get the better of the exchanges.

Chamberlain did push the pace as the fight entered the latter rounds but was unable to land any telling shots and Okolie deservedly won the fight on points, despite himself having a point docked for holding in the ninth.

Danny Dignum (4-0-0, 2KOs) chalks up his fifth professional win with a four round points win over Darryl Sharp (5-28-0, 0KOs) in the final fight of the night.

Essex man Dignum was first to the punch throughout and deservedly won 40-36 on the referee's scorecard.

Having lost his last 14 bouts, Sharp, 26, was content to try absorb minimal punishment and try to land a power shot at the end of exchanges but never had Dignum in trouble.

Dignum, 25, had the reach advantage and put it to good use as he targeted head and body and looked relaxed as he eased to a decision win.
