Unbeaten heavyweight LaRon Mitchell will return to action on August 25, Thompson Boxing Promotions matchmaker Alex Camponovo told Boxingscene.com.

The eight round bout will take place at the Omega Products International in Corona, California.

Mitchell (15-0, with 13 KOs) has not fought since October 21, when he won a 10 round unanimous decision over Scott Alexander.

Two months prior to the Alexander fight, the southpaw Mitchell survived a knockdown at the hands of Mario Heredia to win by unanimous decision over eight rounds.

A 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials runner-up and holds an amateur victory over Dominic Breazeale, the 37-year-old Mitchell is eager to resume his career after a lengthy break from the ring.

"I got a late start in the sport so it was important to be active early on," said Mitchell, who teaches physical education at a junior high school in the Oakland area. "Now that I've built up my resume, I can be more selective in when I fight."

"I'm planning to put Bissett on his back."

Bissett (14-9, with 8 KOs), who resides in the Tampa area, has won his last his last four bouts and five of his last six.

In the co-feature bout, featherweights Erick Ituarte and Alberto Torres collide in an eight round bout.

Ituarte (17-1-1, with 12 KOs) won an eight round split decision over Isaac Zarate in his last bout on Mat 19. The 22-year-old Ituarte, who turned pro when he was 16 years of age, has won his last 10 bouts.

"I like to attack," said Ituarte. "Some fighters like to sit back for the first few rounds, but I don't like to waste any time. I think Torres is going to have a hard time."

Torres (10-0-1, with 4 KOs) defeated Angel Aguilar Jimenez over six rounds in his last bout on June 23. His best win to date was a fourth round knockout victory over Adam Fiel, who entered the bout unbeaten, on January 21.

In a clash of unbeaten junior lightweights, Roberto Meza (8-0, with 4 KOs) will square off against Giovanni Mioletti (8-0, with 2 KOs) in a six round bout.

The entire Thompson Boxing Promotions fight card will be streamed at ThompsonBoxing.com or on their Facebook page, beginning at 11 p.m. ET/ 8 p.m. PT.
