The super bantamweight fight between former WBO Intercontinental and former Philippine champion Ramie Laput and Richard Betos scheduled for April 26th in Iligan city has been canceled when it was discovered unbeknown to the matchmaker Nonito Donarie Sr and GAB officials that Betos had been knocked out earlier in the month in Thailand.

Betos was immediatly put on suspension by GAB officials. Laput, 41 wins 4 losses and just coming off a hard fought unanimous decision win late last year in Cebu over the newly crowned PABA champion Larry "Bon Jovi" Canillas, will now possibly be included on the undercard of the WBO Oriental title fight of his teamate Jether "The General" Oliva (16-0-1 11KOs) vs Fernando Ocon (7-0-1KOs) scheduled for May 13th in Leyte.

Oliva who is currently rated WBO #10 WBA #12 and WBC #28 and Ramie Laput are both managed by Ken Smith's American Boxing Academy in Digos City.

The upcoming Sammy Gello-ani promotion will also feature the return of former world title challenger Ciso "Kid Terrible" Morales.
