WBA world minimumweight champion Kwanthai Sithmorseng (Thailand, 31-0-1, 17KOs) will have his first defense in Bangkok, Thailand. Kwanthai will face a strong challenger from Indonesia, Muhammad Rachman (63-10-5, 32KOs) who is a former IBF world minimumweight champion. The fight is arranged by Thailand’s famous WBA promoter Mr. Niwat Laosiwannawat of Galaxy Boxing Promotion on April 19th at the Krunthep Thonburi University.

Kwanthai already finished 100 rounds of sparring at his gym inside Krungthep Thonburi University and plans to get in up to 119 rounds of sparring by April 15th.

“Kwanthai has hard training and keep good condition for his fist defense of world belt. He already shaped up his weight of 112lbs and it’s easy to reduce it to the limit," Kwanhai’s trainer told to Thai media.

After Kwanthai passes this fight, there will be mandatory fight with winner of the interim-title fight between Sammy Gutierrez (27-5-2, 18KOs) and Juan Palacios (27-3, 21KOs). The fight will be held on May 21st at Mexico.

On the same fight, former WBA super bantamweight champion Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym (43-2, 30KOs) will challenge PABA super bantamweight champ Eric Barcelona (51-19-4, 19KOs) from the Philippines.

These fights will be on air by live broadcasting in Channel 3 of Thailand, from 14:30 up to 17:00.
