Angel “Memo” Heredia he advised BoxingScene.com that he is now working with top heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev (27-1). Pulev is the IBF mandatory challenger for WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO champion Anthony Joshua.

He was last in action in March when he stopped Bogdan Dinu in 7 rounds in Southern California. He has won 7 fights in a row since suffering his only professional loss against Wladimir Klitschko.

“It’s confirmed that I will be working with Kubrat. He is a great guy and I will have him ready as he continues to work towards a fight against Joshua,” Heredia told BoxingScene.com.

Joshua returns to the ring on June 1st in New York against former title challenger Andy Ruiz. Pulev could be next in line if the heavy betting favorite Joshua emerges victorious.

Heredia also helped Félix “Diamante” Verdejo prepare for his unanimous decision victory over Brian Vásquez earlier this month on the Terence Crawford-Amir Khan pay-per-view undercard. He has also recently worked with the likes of Badou Jack and several others.

He is best known for his work with future Hall of Famer Juan Manuel Márquez in the lead up to his knockout victory over Manny Pacquiao in their 4th fight.
