Hala Nysa, ul. Sudecka 23, Nysa, Poland - It was a night where former cruiserweight world champion returned to the ring for their first bouts of the new year.

In the main event of the evening, Krzysztof Glowacki (29-1, 18 KO) made a much tougher time than anyone could have expected when he traded punches with previously undefeated Sergei Radchenko (6-1, 1 KO).

Glowacki was heavily favored and some thought the contest would be over early. Instead, Radchenko put up a very strong effort and had the former champion down in the fifth round and in trouble. Glowacki managed to weather the storm and recovered on his way to a decision win.

All three judges came down with the same score of 77-74.

"I was very happy that my opponent was changed. In the fifth round I was caught clean and landed on the floor. I remember everything, it was not that bad. I am hungry, but there is a lot of work ahead. I hope to fight before the summer, but I believe that there will be a better disposition," said Glowacki.

Regarding the question on who could be his perfect opponent, Glowacki replied: - "I do not hide the fact that I would like to face Vlasov."

And then another former champion, Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (54-4-1, 38 KO) only needed two rounds of work with Adam Gadajew (17-15, 8 KO).

It was Wlodarczyk's first bout after suffering his first career knockout loss at the hands of Murat Gassiev in the World Boxing Super Series last fall.

"El Diablo" controlled the fight with ease. And then after two rounds, Gadayew signaled a shoulder injury and the fight was interrupted to the disappointment of the fans.

"Nothing special. What can I say? I did not fail. In my opinion, this second round was a bit faster. What can I do? This fight did not answer any question. That is boxing ... Maybe next time I will get a better opponent, he will be more demanding and I will have to apply more of myself," commented a disappointed W?odarczyk after the fight.
