New York, New York - Sergey Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KO's) is officially heading into the biggest fight of his career against Andre Ward (30-0, 15 KO's).

Kovalev knows what's at stake; the right to possibly secure the position as best fighter in the world, pound for pound. The unified WBA/IBF/WBO light heavyweight champion feels that the undefeated pound for pound Olympic gold medal winner has never faced anyone like him.

"Ward showed that he can fight like a light heavyweight easily but we'll see on November 19th," Kovalev told BoxingScene.com. "This isn't Alexander Brand or Sullivan Barrera, this is Krusher. First fight against Barrera was a little different, he looked good against Brand. I think he will be more better on November 19th, it will be a huge step in my next career."

In boxing where it seems the best fighting the best comes around once every so often, the fight between Kovalev and Ward pits two of the consensus top five pound for pound fighters in the world sporting the same 30-0 record. Kovalev acknowledges the challenge ahead.

"Ward is a great fighter and he's undefeated," explained Kovalev. "He's 30-0 and I'm 30-0. Its 50-50. It sounds really good 30-0 vs 30-0. He already showed in his last fight switching from right hand to left hand. He usually brings something new, so I have to be ready. This is my biggest fight. its a little bit bigger fight than usual but I feel comfortable and ready to start camp once we're done with the media."

Kovalev admits that it'll be a test to dealing with Ward on the inside, but says he's found a solution for Ward's tactics.

"He showed that he feels comfortable inside versus Alexander Brand but I'm not Alexander Brand. I'll try to break his hands if he tries to hold me. I'll try to do everything in the rules to keep him from hugging me."
