Shortly after his unanimous decision victory over Jose Uzcategui, Matt Korobov (24-0) revealed that he had sparred with super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell throughout much of his training camp.

Korobov credited the former Super Six participant for playing a key role in his dominate win over over the previously unbeaten Uzcategui.

"The key to the fight was the body shots. I broke him down to the body early in the fight," Korobov told BoxingScene.com. "Dirrell was the difference. Having quality sparring for this fight was the key."

With the victory Korobov picked up the WBO International title and moved a step closer to becoming the mandatory contender for the WBO champion Peter Quillin.
