Kody Davies will be back in action later this month after chalking up his seventh professional win.

The Welsh super-middleweight needed less than two rounds to halt his usually durable opponent.

Davies is trained by Gavin Rees and was in action on Friday, exclusively live on iFL TV, as part of MTK Global’s ‘New Beginnings’ card in Cardiff.

And the southpaw got rid of Jevgenijs Andrejevs with relative ease at the Vale Sports Arena, unleashing non-stop flurries to the head and body of the visitor.

Andrejevs complained to the referee with alarming frequency and the contest was stopped by Chris Jones in the second stanza after the Latvian, 37, continued to wilt under the sustained pressure of the 24-year-old Hayemaker Ringstar-promoted fighter.

Davies, who boxed in Cardiff only last month, as part of the supporting cast to the Joe Cordina’s Commonwealth lightweight title win over Sean Dodd at the Ice Arena in the city, will be back again sooner rather than later.

He has been added to a card featuring Olympic silver medallist Joe Joyce.

Joyce will face Iago Kiladze over eight rounds at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California on September 30.

The card, which will be screened exclusively live on Fox Sports 1 Stateside, is topped by Victor Ortiz’s 12-round welterweight clash against John Molina Jr.
