Knockout CP Freshmart and Byron Rojas both tipped the scales at 104.5lbs ahead of tomorrow’s title clash. The two will face off in Chonburi with the Thai’s WBA 105lbs title on the line.

This is a rematch with Knockout (18-0) already holding a win over Rojas (25-5-3). The Nicaraguan travelled to Thailand in 2016 to challenge for the title and lost to by decision, although with all three cards reading 115-113 that contest couldn’t have been much closer.

This will be Knockout’s sixth defence of the regular WBA 105lbs title. He also defended the interim version of the belt three times while Rojas is a former champion who will be looking to exact revenge upon the undefeated Thai.

In 2016 Rojas won the IBO and WBA 105lbs titles by beating Hekkie Budler in South Africa. He defended the latter belt on the road a few months later but dropped a decision to Knockout and has not had the opportunity to fight for a world title again since.

The bout will take place outside Chonburi Town Hall and will be televised live in Thailand by True4U from 6pm to 8pm (local time). There are also four Muay Thai bouts on the card but the minimumweight title fight will be up first.
