IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has informed BoxingScene.com that negotiations with unbeaten WBO mandatory Alexander Povetkin may result in a deal within a week. The two sides have been haggling over money and German television rights for the last few weeks, but cooler heads are prevailing.

"We have sent a proposal to Alexander Povetkin's camp, but we have yet to to receive an answer. If by next week we don't receive an answer from them, then will see what else is out there," Klitschko

BoxingScene also spoke with Wladimir Hrjunov, manager of Povetkin, who informed us that the financial attitudes of both boxers should be on the same page.

"Taking into account the fees for the fight, advertising and other things, Povetkin and Klitschko should be on the same page. Negotiations continue, including with the networks [overseas]," said Hrjunov.
