K2 Promotions, of Ukrainian-born, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko, of Kiev, and, Sauerland Promotions, of Russian challenger, Alexander Povetkin, will hold a purse bid for a bout between the two fighters on Tuesday, according to Emanuel Steward, Klitschko's trainer.

If K2 Promotions wins the bid, sponsored by the IBF, the fight will be in Germany, perhaps in Frankfurt, said Steward. In the event that Sauerland Promotions wins, the two warriors would clash likely in Moscow, Steward said.

Win or lose, however, Steward said that Klitschko would get the lions share of a 75-25 split of the purse.

"The purse bid is going to be tomorrow," said Steward on Tuesday evening. "And it looks like the fight would take place on September 11, or September 18."
