Kieron Conway has vowed that Saturday’s fight with Souleymane Cissokho has already made him a better fighter and allowed him to learn a hell of a lot about himself.

Conway came up narrowly short as he suffered a split decision defeat to Cissokho at the AT&T Stadium in Texas over the weekend.

While he may not have got his hand raised, Conway loved the experience of fighting on a huge event, and has promised that he’ll be back for more.

Conway said: “I didn’t get the result I went for but I have learned a hell of a lot of about myself.

“What an incredible experience it was. From the couple of days I got in Texas doing the media, to the performing in front of 60,000 amazing fans in the stadium.

“It was an eye opener for me and this loss will not define me, it has already made me a better fighter. I lost my title but I’m coming back for more! Don’t call it a comeback!

“I want to specially thank all of the fans and supporters, the crowd were amazing and I met a lot fantastic people in the arena. Huge thanks to MTK Global, Matchroom, Eddie Hearn, Canelo, and DAZN for giving me the opportunity, and a big thank you to my loyal sponsors.”
