Kieron Conway is determined to prove he is the best super-welterweight fighter in Britain when he defends his WBA Intercontinental super-welterweight title against Souleymane Cissokho this weekend.

The two men spoke at the final press conference ahead of the massive Canelo Alvarez vs. Billy Joe Saunders event that takes place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday, and will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN.

Conway (16-1-1, 3 KOs) is part of an exciting 154lb division both domestically and worldwide, and he is confident that a win over Cissokko (12-0, 8 KOs) will show that he’s the cream of the crop in the UK.

Conway said: “If I didn’t believe I would win I wouldn’t be here. It’s good to finally be here, and we’re going to get the job done and look to put a performance on Saturday that really impresses.

“It’s about taking the opportunity. I’m not nervous, this is my job. I’ve got nothing to be nervous about as this is what dreams are made of. I came from small hall boxing making no money and now I’m here.

“There is no pressure on me. I’m here to put a real solid performance on and come out with the win. The other guys domestically are looking for the easy route and the comfortable route. I’m here to test myself against a very good fighter and show that I’m the best in the division.”

Cissokho said: “I’m really excited. I am taking this fight very seriously. He’s a good fighter but I am confident and I’m ready to go. I’ve been in camp with Joshua Buatsi, and we’ll both get good wins over the next two weeks.

“I’m going to be fighting in front of 70,000 people, and that’s amazing. It’s a blessing for me to be on a huge card and I’m happy to be here.”
