Olympia, London - Sheffield's Kid Galahad steps up to the featherweight division with a routine win over late stand-in Leonel Hernandez who retired at the end of round three with an eye injury.

Galahad, 26, (21-0-0, 12KOs) was due to take on the experienced Joseph Agbeko, but the Ghanaian fell ill on the day of the fight leaving the Brit to turn his attentions to Spain-based Nicaraguan Hernandez (10-18-2, 1KO).

The fight served as little more than a showcase, as Galahad peppered the visitor with jabs and barely looked out of second gear as he landed a number of crisp body shots in the opening rounds.

Galahad – real name Barry Awad – continued to punish Hernandez in round three before the referee called a halt to proceedings with visitor unable to continue.

Andrew Selby continues his rapid rise through the professional ranks with a comfortable 10 round points win over Ardin Diale.

Selby (7-0-0, 5KOs) – younger brother of featherweight world champion Lee Selby – looked a class above as his combination of speed and ring craft helped him pick up the WBC international flyweight title. All three judges scored the contest 100-90.

The Welshman, 28, buckled the knees of his Filipino opponent (32-10-4, 15KOs) with a pin point straight right hand in the second round and repeated the trick in the fourth with another meaty overhand right which drew gasps from the crowd.

Selby, from Barry in Wales, looked comfortable skipping in and out of range, landing to head and body as Diale looked to counter at the end of exchanges with limited success.

Under the watchful eye of Chris Sanigar in his corner, Selby continue to win rounds by being the first to punch and began to sit on his shots as he looked for a stoppage from the mid-way point.

A four punch combination temporarily stopped Diale in his tracks in round seven and a barrage of unanswered shots in the following round had the referee having a closer look but Selby was unable to land the finishing blow.

Despite only turning professional in 2015, Selby is now targeting a world title shot before the end of the year.
