Norwegian paper VG writes that a deal is close for IBO cruiserweight champ Kevin Lerena (25-1) to take on Kai Robin Havnaa (16-0) in June in Norway - this is of course if the coronavirus pandemic is over by then.

This will be the seventh defence of the title for Lerena, who stopped Firat Arslan in Germany in his last fight. Promoter Nisse Sauerland confirms to VG that a deal is close.

Havnaa beat Mariano Angel Gudino in his last fight in November on a split decision.

As BoxingScene.com previously reported - EC Boxing, Wiking Box Team and Ali Ak have been forced to cancel their March 21 show in Berlin. EC Boxing will however keep the date and keep their fighters busy and will stage an event in their gym in Hamburg with heavyweight prospect Viktor Faust (1-0) taking on an opponent to be announced. In an all-German matchup Michael Wallisch (20-3) take on former stablemate Kai Kurzawa (38-9).

Coming back after over a year out due to a shoulder injury is former IBO light heavyweight king Karo Murat, who is in against Mazen Gierke (an amazing 15-108-6).

Murat (32-4-1) lost the the title to Sven Fornling late 2018 in a big upset, but he was fighting one-armed for much of the fight. Karo has been training for a comeback for some time, but he re-injured his arm.

The coronavirus has pretty much knocked out most of the boxing activities in most of Europe for the time being and it´s easier to list the shows that are not postponed than the ones that are postponed.
