Junior lightweight contender Kenichi Ogawa won a 10-round unanimous decision Saturday night over Roldan Aldea at Korakuen Hall in his hometown of Tokyo.

Ogawa was the busier and more effective fighter throughout the fight.

Scores were 99-92, 98-92, and 97-93 for Ogawa, who improves to 23-1, 17 knockouts. It was Ogawa’s first fight sine his December 2017 clash against Tevin Farmer for the vacant IBF junior lightweight title.

Ogawa was originally announced as the winner by split-decision over 12 rounds, but the result was changed to a No Contest after Ogawa tested positive for Androstanediol.

The 31-year-old Ogawa is currently not ranked by any of the sanctioning bodies.

Aldea, who resides in Manila, drops to 12-7-1, 6 KOs. He has now lost four of his last six fights.

Flyweight contender Junto Nakatani stopped Naoki Mochizuki (15-4, 8 KOs) at 23 seconds of the ninth round. Nakatani (18-0, 13 KOs) is ranked number 4 by the WBC and number 10 by the WBO at 112 pounds.

Junior bantamweight contender Koki Eto (24-4-1, 19 KOs) stopped Romel Oliveros (9-5-1, 4 KOs) of the Philippines at 29 seconds of the fourth round. Eto, who is ranked amongst the top 10 in three of boxing’s sanctioning bodies, has won his last seven bouts since his decision loss to Carlos Cuadras in November of 2015.

Akihiko Honda promoted the card.
