LAS VEGAS - History repeated itself as Keith "The Bounty" Hunter (12-0) was successful once again against Sanjarbek Rakhmanov  (12-3-1) in tonight's ShoBox main event.  The two first met in April, 2019 with Hunter winning via split decision.

Just like in the first fight, both men had their moments and the sequel was just as tough even if the scorecards didn't indicate the success that Rakhmanov had. The final scores read 97-92 and 98-91 twice.

Rakhmanov started off strong, landing two big right hands moments into the bout. Hunter absorbed the blows well but was outworked for most of the round.  Hunter clipped Rakhmanov  in the second round, causing his glove to hit the canvas.  Hunter began to pour it on before referee Robert Byrd could separate them to administer the count for the knockdown.  Hunter jumped on him immediately after Byrd deemed Rakhmanov okay to continue and while he landed several punches, he also ate two flush shots.

The crowd cheered loudly throughout the bout with support about even for both Las Vegas residents. Rakhmanov continued to press the action in the third round, proving that he had recovered from the knockdown.

A crisp one-two combination by Rakhmanov  almost caused Hunter, who is the brother of heavyweight contender Michael Hunter, to do splits in the fourth round. However, Hunter would get his shots in as well as they took turns pressing the action throughout the middle rounds.

The second half played out very similarly to the first as neither fighter took many steps back and both fighters having moments of success as the crowd wildly cheered them on.  Each fighter walked through fire in the 10th and final round as they sensed the fight was still up for grabs with Hunter landing the more telling blows.

Hunter is promoted by Greg Cohen Promotions, while Rakhmanov is promoted by Mayweather Promotions.
