Undisputed lightweight world champion Katie Taylor is firm on her desire to headline a major event at Croke Park in Ireland.

Last month, Taylor picked up the biggest win of her career with a ten round split decision over Amanda Serrano, before a crowd of over 19,000 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Both Taylor and Serrano are eager for a rematch, which Taylor believes would easily be a big ticket showdown for Croke Park

"A rematch would be brilliant. I'm up for any challenge, I want to fight the best out there," Taylor said to DAZN.

"I would absolutely love to fight in Ireland. A big fight in Croke Park with 80,000 people. That would probably be the only thing that could top what happened last week [in Madison Square Garden]. Imagine filling 80,000 seats that would be very, very special. It would be easy to sell as well I think."

Taylor's performance against Serrano is being praised as the best of her career.

The 2012 Olympic gold medal winner was badly hurt in the fifth and appeared to be on the verge of getting knocked out. She managed to recover by the seventh and began to rally back with her boxing skills.

The action contest could potentially become the first women's fight to secure Fight of The Year honors. It will certainly be a candidate in the running.

"It is going to be in for Fight of the Year as well. It was just an amazing night for the sport," Taylor said.
