Last night at the historic San Francisco Armory, the "Back to Business" card took place with local fighters, Karim Mayfield, Raquel Miller and Xavier Martinez moving forward with victories.

Karim "Hard Hitta" Mayfield (20-4-1, 11 KOs), cruised to a 6-round unanimous decision over outmatched Miguel Dumas (10-0, 7 KOs), giving him his first defeat.  With the win, Mayfield captures he the WBU Welterweight Americas Belt.  Scorecards read 60-54 twice, and 55-54.

Middleweight, Raquel "Pretty Beast" Miller (5-0, 3 KOs) remained undefeated with a 1st round knockout against Lisa Garland (15-9, 8 KOs).  Time was 2:00 of round one.

Xavier Martinez (10-0, 5 KOs) stayed unbeaten winning by 2nd round knockout over Raymond Chacon (7-27-1) in a 6-round featherweight bout.  Time was 2:59

Ricardo Pinell (15-3-1, 8 KOs) won a lopsided unanimous decision against Carlos Ruiz (8-4, 3 KO) in a 6-round middleweight bout. Score cards read 60-54 across the board.

Will Shaw (3-0, 3 KOs) defeated Lenard Davis (1-0-3) with a 2nd round TKO in a scheduled 4-round super lightweight bout.  Time was .50 of round two.

Chattanooga, Tenn. - The final 29 champions were crowned Saturday evening at the Chattanooga Convention Center in Chattanooga, Tenn. after a week of over 500 bouts. What began with more than 600 boxers, the 2017 Eastern Elite Qualifier and Regional Open Championship night was filled with exciting boxing in front of a rambunctious crowd. Boxers from all parts of the United States, ranging in age from eight to 50 traveled to the scenic city for a shot to win on the national stage.

The youth male division got the action-packed evening started, including Jared Anderson (Toledo, Ohio) who represented Team USA at the 2017 Bradenburg Cup in Germany this past summer. Fantasy Sweepstake Winner Maryguenn Vellinga (Park City, Utah) grabbed the judges card to kickoff the elite bouts.

One of the most anticipated bouts of the evening did not disappoint, as two-time World Champion Jajaira Gonzalez (Fountain, Colo.) and junior World Champion Lupe Gutierrez (Sacramento, Calif.) faced off with each other in the ring, with Gonzalez taking the championship.

2016 Youth World Champions, Marc Castro (Fresno, Calif.) and Delante Johnson (Cleveland, Ohio) were both victorious. Castro’s win marks his first elite division title after meeting exceptions for his elite debut this week. Johnson returned to the ring this week after boxing at the most recent Elite Men’s World Championships in Hamburg, Germany.

The third national event of the year, the Eastern Qualifier served as the final qualifying opportunity for the elite division boxers. Each of tonight’s finalists pushed their ticket to the 2017 Elite National Championships in Salt Lake City. The youth finalist tonight all earned two of the available 32 spots in their divisions in Utah. All boxers this week that finished in the top with earned valuable ranking points.

With six of the eight spots for the Elite National Championships set, the remaining two spots will be announced following a wild card selection process.
