Hardcore boxing fans are in for a treat on Friday night when Jesus Soto Karass (28-10-3) and Yoshihiro Kamegai (26-3-1) collide in the main event of the latest edition of LA Fight Club. The sold-out fight card takes place at Belasco Theater and is presented by Golden Boy Promotions.

Kamegai, who is an all-action fighter like Soto Karass, said that he has had great sparring for the fight and is prepared for war.

"We found sparring partners that were able to mimic Soto Karass' style so we are ready for the fight. We know he is a good opponent and we are ready for him," said Kamegai through his translator Nobu.

A win could lead to big opportunities  for the 33-year-old Kamegai. However, the Tokyo resident is just 4-3 in his last 7 bouts and knows a loss would be a major setback for his career and therefore refuses to look past Soto Karass.

"Right now, for me, it is very important for me to win this fight. That is where all my focus is but hopefully this will lead me to bigger and better things," Kamegai told BoxingScene.com.

Kamegai is best known for his exciting battle against Robert Guerrero and hopes to put on a similar show, albeit in winning fashion, against Soto Karass.

"I hope to provide an entertaining and exciting fight. I not only want to win but I want the fans to be entertained," Kamegai stated.
