It's being rumored that Julian Williams will return in December against battle-hardened Mexican warrior Jesus Soto-Karass.

The source, who wished to be unnamed, said that the Soto-Karass fight will be finalized in the coming days and that the plan was for Williams - if successful - to face former junior middleweight titlist Austin Trout next spring.

Last month Williams moved his record to 17-0-1, with 10 wins inside the distance with an eight-round shut out over previously unbeaten Eliezer Gonzalez at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. as part of the prelude to Mayweather-Maidana II.

If both fights are consummated it will provide the unbeaten Williams, 24, with the opportunity to come out of boxing’s shadows and put him in the title picture in the talent packed junior middleweight division.
