Former champion Zab Judah has faced both Danny Garcia (26-0, 16KOs) and Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs) in the ring. Judah, along with current IBF 147-pound champion Devon Alexander are the only two fighters to defeat Matthysse. Judah got off the deck in the tenth round to win a twelve round split decision over Matthysse in November of 2010. Judah lost a twelve round decision to Garcia in April of this year.

Later tonight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Matthysse will challenge Garcia for the WBC/WBA junior welterweight titles.

"It's going to come down to a punch-out event. Neither guy is a great boxer. Neither guy has great defense. I think it's going to be a punch-out. I think they both have decent power. I think whoever gets there first. It's going to come down to timing. You have two guys who are not really skillful fighters, they are looking for big shots and knockouts happen with great timing. Whoever gets there first," Judah told BoxingScene.com.

Judah believes the two defeats Matthysse suffered have made him a better fighter.

"He has more experience. He learned more. He had some more good fights. He had time to get more familar with the ring. When you have big fights, it gets you more experience for your next opponent - win, lose or draw - and makes you that much sharper," Judah said.

However, Judah is not convinced that Matthysse is capable of beating a well polished boxer who knows how to deal with a big puncher.

"He was always a fast starter and we knew that, so I jumped on his ass quicker. I threw a lot of head feints. You see with a puncher, when you take away that distance they can't hit you. I can hit you but you can't hit me. I did it all night, so he wasn't able to close the distance and bang out with me. Lamont Peterson's style, he's a fighter. But, a good boxer will beat Lucas Matthysse," Judah said.
